Andrew was originally a registrar in the practice and joined as a partner in 1996. He is married with 2 sons and lives in Emsworth. He enjoys any music but loves sailing and he keeps a boat in Emsworth and would happily take a prospective GPR out for a sail.

The Practice
Derby Road has been a training practice for many years and is a 5 partner practice situated within a densely populated area in Portsmouth. The practice also has a branch surgery. The practice offers 10 minute booked appointments. Out of hours is covered by a deputising service
Training at the Practice
The GPR will be gently introduced into the workload in this practice. There are a plethora of clinical and business meetings to which the GPR is welcome. All the partners here are interested in teaching and would like to get involved with the GPR's training programme. There is a 2 hour weekly tutorial with the trainer and in addition a 40 minute weekly tutorial with another partner. In addition there will be joint surgeries, video surgeries and plenty of time for informal chat over coffee. This is a friendly and informal practice that is all committed to teaching and the prospective GPR will be guaranteed a suportive climate with a good clinical experience.
