I have been a part time partner at Drayton Surgery since June 1998 and have been a trainer since early 2007. I have also become involved with recruitment of GPR's. Within the surgery I enjoy organising speaker meetings and social events!
I live in Petersfield and am married to a GP and have 3 children.

The Practice
|
It is a busy suburban long-established ( 65 year) Practice now housed in new purpose-built premises housing the PHC Team of Nurses, Midwives, Health Visitors, Physiotherapist, Counsellor and even the Out of Hours Co-Op ! All of the team members are available to talk to GPRs, face-to-face. The DGH is just over a mile away for access to Enhanced Learning opportunities. The Practice population comprises many elderly, some deprived groups, immigrants, artisans and 'professionals' for contrasting learning experiences in the psycho-social categories of GP training. Teaching and learning have been continuous at Drayton since 1976. Even Medical students have come to teach us and keep us up to date and the mark.
All the partners are involved ( willingly!) both in Teaching and in their own specialisms. And they are friendly to the GPRs, meeting every day late morning for coffee to exchange latest medical advances and Internet non-PC jokes. |
